KandiCon is a community where people share what they make, comment and message each other. Keeping young people safe on it comes before everything else. This page says what we do not allow, how to report it, and what happens next.
KandiCon has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), and for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind. That includes:
There are no warnings and no second chances for any of these.
KandiCon is for people aged 13 and up. It is not directed at children under 13, and if we learn that an account belongs to someone under 13, we delete it. The rest of the rules are in our Terms of Use.
Every post, comment, profile and chat has a Report button. Pick the reason that fits and add any detail you can. Reports go to a real person, and anything involving a child's safety goes to the front of the queue.
Email alexander@uniquephoto.com. You do not need an account or the app. Tell us the handle involved and what you saw. Please do not attach or forward an abusive image of a child — describe it and tell us where it is, and we will find it.
If a child is in immediate danger, call 911 (or your local emergency number) first. In the US you can also report directly to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children at CyberTipline.org or 1-800-843-5678.
You can block anyone from their profile or from a chat. Once you block someone, they cannot message you and the conversation closes, and their posts stop showing up for you. A block is kept on our side, so it stays in place even if you move to a new phone. You can also hide any post or comment you do not want to see.
Posts that encourage or describe self-harm or suicide are taken down. When a young person posts that they are struggling, we remove the post so other members do not see it, and someone on the team sends them a kind, private check-in. They are not punished for it. If we believe someone is in danger right now, we contact emergency services.
If you see a post like that, tap Report and choose I’m worried about this person, and tell an adult you trust. If they might be in danger right now, call 911. Crisis lines, including 988 in the US, are on our Get help page.
Child safety questions, reports and requests from law enforcement go to Alexander Sweetwood at alexander@uniquephoto.com. Email is read by a person, not a bot.
